Traditionally, Chinese Americans have not been the target of research studies. As a result, data on Chinese Americans is very limited. Without sufficient data, there is little justification for funding and specialized services. In an attempt to change this vicious pattern, CCHRC has over the years partnered with national and local organizations in conducting research projects. Recent projects include a pilot study funded by the National Cancer Institute on Quality of Life in Chinese Patients with Breast Cancer. Previous projects studied cultural perception of domestic violence and attitudes toward cancer.
